A late Hassle to the Sound of 2010?

Following on from my ponderings over Erik Hassle's Hurtful supposedly being released today, with next to no promotion, I have thankfully not been able to find it in any shops or on iTunes and looking at his official website it would seem that the song has been shoved back to February 7th 2010. Fingers crossed in that case it will get the push it deserves when it's not X Factor seasons and normal music can resume it's chart duties again. If this doesn't go top ten in the UK it WILL be a crime. I am hoping that he will now be included in BBC's Sound of 2010, although seeing as he has already released the floptastic Don't Bring Flowers here I'm not sure if he will be eligible for the list!?! Not to Hassle you with other news but his forthcoming album, Pieces, has gone up for pre-order on iTunes and the UK tracklisting features a bonus track, a cover of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's If I Could Build My Whole World Around You featuring none other than Swedish star of the moment, Agnes!

  1. He's definitely eligible - I think it's only top 20/40 hits that stop you from being selected. It's pretty certain that Ellie Goulding will win though, unless Under The Sheets overdoes the buzz!
